Operation From the Heart
Parkway Christian School is proud to announce that we will participate in Operation From the Heart
Operation from the Heart is an organization dedicated to supporting the many men and women in uniform that our nation has deployed throughout the world.
Our Pre School - 5th grade is collecting items to send to units
on the front lines in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The students will write letters, which will go in individual bags
for members of the unit.
The packing party was held on Monday, March 8th and we had several parents here to help us.

Our original guess of 50-70 boxes was well exceeded...
Current count 112 boxes!!!!!

I will have totals on wgt and costs as the week goes on.
70 boxes going to the post office this week.
(We ran out of forms and boxes and labels at the event).
All boxes shipping costs was covered by donations the day of.
BAE systems (Mrs Vito) - Presented us with $1000 and
5 employees to help pack
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart - donated $500
Several other checks came in.
"A GREAT SHOWING!" for our first Troops Day Event at Parkway.

The administration of Parkway Christian School would like to recognize and congratulate senior David Kimmel Jr. for his placement as a National Merit Scholarship finalist. The National Merit Exam is an academic competition in which students strive to earn both scholarships and national recognition. It is taken by 1.5 million students each year and only 3% of them qualify for recognition in the scholarship program, making David's accomplishments quite incredible. Congratulations David!
